As of July 1, 2023, the new CONAI contribution brackets will be in effect.

While some of the environmental contributions on plastic packaging will increase, in particular:

– plastic packaging BAND A1.2: from 60.00 €/tonn to 90.00 €/tonn

– plastic packaging BAND A2: from €150.00/tonn will increase to €220.00/tonn

– plastic packaging BAND B2.2: from 410.00 €/tonn to 477.00 €/tonn

CONAI contributions for plastic caps are decreasing, with contribution diversifications.

In addition, great interest was given to the study of sustainable solutions that could bring materials that were previously placed in BAND B2.2 into BAND C. Specifically, this includes flexible packaging made of PP or PE mono polymer, or PE/PP multilayer, non-metallic/metallic coated, free of mineral fillers and/or “carbon black” other than those in BAND A1.1 and A2.

PE/PP foam and mineral filler structures are tolerated as long as the density remains below 1 g/cm3 (grams/cubic centimeter) as well as inner layers to impart greater barrier made of EVOH with limitation to 5 percent of the total package weight.

A focus that comforts the commitment of the FLESSOFAB Research and Development Department in the direction of products with these characteristics, with a view to environmental sustainability and economic viability.
